Hi, My name is Ann Niddrie and Over the Moon Photography is my passion.

Welcome to my blog where you can stay up to date with my recent shoots and adventures with awesome people in love.

You'll see sneak peeks of lovers tying the knot, family photo sessions as well as precious newborns all here on the blog.

Baby Daze

Damien & Philippa welcomed Amelie into their lives just over 4 weeks ago, and welcomed me into their home on a misty mountains morning, to spend time in their baby bubble. It is such a special time to share, and from my own experience, a newborn turned my independent fast-paced world upside down for a teeny while, and I feel so grateful for the opportunity to be a fly on the wall in such a new time for families.

Snuggles with Mum & Dad were a big part of Amelie’s morning, however she was one little person that loved the camera! But when she’d had enough it was off to sleep for a nap.

Thank you so much Philippa and Damien for such a delightful morning, I can’t wait to show you your full gallery!

Forever More – Sarah and Ben’s Garden Wedding

At the end of the rainiest summer in 50 years, Sarah and Ben married on one of the few gloriously sunny and warm afternoons we had seen in over 12 weeks.

Relaxed, calm and down-to-earth, Sarah rolled up in vintage cars full of a posse of colourful bridesmaids and flowergirls, to adorn the gardens of Glenleigh Estate. It is such an honour to be involved and welcomed to capture a wedding day. It doesn’t matter whether a couple have been together for 7 months or 7 years, the joy and anticipation of seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day gets me every time.

After the ceremony they celebrated in the home that Ben grew up in. Family & friends filled the kitchen to make delicious food for everyone, it was truly a wedding that allowed all to be involved and show their love for the couple. Another garden filled with music and laughter long into the night.

Give Me Your Hand – Shae and Calem’s Garden Wedding

Shae and Calem were high school sweethearts and they are made for each other. Down-to-earth and relaxed, fun-loving and thoughtful, it was lovely to hear them talk about their adventures they have already shared together in the lead up to their wedding. What caught me was the little moments that had been treasured, riding doubles on old 80′s bikes with the sun on their faces and the warm summer breeze in their hair. I could feel the freedom, the love of the moment. Their love of life and of each other.

Married at Norman Lindsay Gallery surrounded by beautiful gardens, fabulous artworks, and precious family and friends, there was not a dry eye left in the house by the end of the ceremony. The spattering of rain here and there never dampened their mood.

I can’t wait to hear what other precious moments Shae and Calem create with their little munchkin Frankie as they step into their married future together.

The Joy of a Newborn

There really is something special about photographing a family with a fresh newborn. The house has certain magical air when I walk in, and it’s generally filled with morning light, flowers, cards, smiles and cups of tea.

Just a little bit of an intro to my style of newborn photography – you get to stay in the comfort of your own home, and I capture you as a family in this special time – your love and wonder for your newborn but also your love and adoration of your life partner. Becoming a parent is a wondrous experience, and in those first couple of weeks there is a whole new way you get to see them.

We create heirlooms for you to look back on with your children as they grow, and your grandchildren. They will get to see not only themselves but also you in that magical start to life together as a family. I love it and I am so honoured to be a part of it.

Scott and Judith allowed me that honour just recently. I loved watching them together, and with Aimee, the loving way they held her and guided her to to sleep. The way they laughed when she wee’d on the blanky (as they generally do!).

She is one very loved little bub.

You may recognise Judith & Scott from their sun-filled afternoon adventure maternity photo session with a spontaneous jump into the local waterfall. And now we meet their precious bundle!

Dale & John – A Wedding in the Caves

Dale & John are a fun-loving couple with tales of travel and adventure to share. It is of no surprise that they travelled all the way from Iceland to share an amazing wedding day in Jenolan Caves. Friends and family flocked from around the world to be a part of their day.

The Jenolan Caves are a fascinating and magical place, and as the guests arrived and the bridal party bustled about, there was certainly a special kind of buzz in the air…

Travelling and residing overseas for study and career, and returning home for such a special day in their lives, brought people together to share not only in the joy of their promise to each other but also gave their guests a gift. The gift of the perfect excuse to travel the world to see a hidden wonder.
