Hi, My name is Ann Niddrie and Over the Moon Photography is my passion.

Welcome to my blog where you can stay up to date with my recent shoots and adventures with awesome people in love.

You'll see sneak peeks of lovers tying the knot, family photo sessions as well as precious newborns all here on the blog.

Judith & Scott

A hitchhiking Canadian girl meets roaming Aussie male in Scotland and catches a ride. There begins a story of adventure, friendship and love.

Judith and Scott are now about to embark on a whole new life adventure together – starting a family in the Blue Mountains.

I love when clients get involved in making their Beloved Photo Session personal and mean something to them – creating a memorable adventure. We went on an afternoon bushwalk on one of the very few glorious days of summer, and listened to birdsong as we walked amongst the ferns and blue gums.

I am sure that Judith and Scott will be sharing stories of the summer of rain spent in bright gumboots, their spontaneous waterfall shower and the cheeky leech that dropped from above onto Judith’s bare belly as they enjoy these photos with their young family in years to come. Because in the end life is about creating memories together, I’m here to capture them.

Holly & Mike – An Everglades Wedding

Full of fun and love for each other, Holly & Mike are clients I feel I already knew the moment I met them. And that is how they felt about each other when they met.

Down-to-earth. Vicki & Jannine’s Spring Wedding

Married on November 1st, Vicki and Jannine chose to celebrate their love on a day that holds tradition and significance for many around the globe. The first day of Spring is a day of renewal, and for declaring one’s love. This special Spring afternoon was warm and full of golden light. An intimate ceremony with immediate family in attendance, Vicki and Jannine were present, connected and committed.

Beautiful.

Jess & Mick’s Art Deco Wedding

The Blue Mountains are renowned for delivering weather of 4 seasons in one day. 2 years since moving here I am starting to really understand the truth of that phrase. I awoke at 5am on the morn of Jess & Mick’s Spring wedding to hear rain pelting the windows and thunder rumbling outside. By the time I arrived to meet a charmingly nervous Mick, the skies had cleared away the storm in time for a bright and sunny, love-filled wedding. Perfect.

The weather, and concern over what it will or won’t do can cause a great deal of stress in the lead up to a wedding day. I recommend that all my Bride’s having an outdoor ceremony check out Hire an Umbrella based in Sydney. For me at my own wedding, having the knowledge that I had ‘backup’ was a great relief, as many other Bride’s have agreed. Even if you don’t have to use it, knowing they are there is a great comfort.

Pauline & Rick’s Everglades Wedding

Pauline and Rick have created a gorgeous family together, and recently they gathered with family and friends at the Everglades Gardens in Leura to make official their partnership in life.

I am so lucky that warm and relaxed people are attracted to my style of storytelling. Amidst all the chaos of early breakfasts with children, garden sprinklers spraying through hotel windows and much more, Pauline and Rick remained quietly ecstatic and focussed on the true meaning and importance of their day – their love for one another.

So many people ask to see the shots I took when people weren’t posing, the candid shots. 90% of what I do is candid, the real people being who they are together. I may ask you to stand in a certain spot or walk down a particular path however the true gems that you see are when Bride and Groom allow themselves to be together in front of the camera.

Our time together after your ceremony is an intimate time for you to revel in your love, let it all sink in and steal a moment for yourselves amidst the craziness and chaos of your whirlwind day. It is not a performance, a fashion show. It’s real affection, real emotion. Real love.
